We are pleased to share Youtube links of 10 children stories that we translated into Urdu for UNESCO-Paksitan. The Urdu translations of stories were published in the form of a story book and distributed to 3000 students in government schools of Gilgit Baltistan. Later on, the stories were converted into audio-visual material and shared on the Internet. Famous artists from Pakistan including Sania Saeed, Samia Mumtaz, nadia Afgan, Mina Malik Hussain and Fawad Khan read out the stories in their own peculiar style for children. The book was part of a project that addressed the issue of lack of interactive and empowering teaching and learning materials in target schools. This project will improve students’ access to interactive and empowering reading materials, especially of non-conventional gender roles, and will help improve their analytical and critical thinking skills. PCDC will continue to contribute for the development of Pakistan through innovative communication products and approaches. Do share these stories with your children and intro duce to them a wonderful world of imagination, courage and humanity.
