PCDC facilitated a full-day training workshop for general body members of the ‘Pakistan Coalition for Education’ (PCE) in Islamabad.
‘The 3C (Coalition – Communication – Change) Workshop’ was facilitated by Aftab Iqbal (Director PCDC).
Discussion during the workshop helped participants to understand that effective communication within coalitions doesn’t just happen by itself. Before a coalition can even begin its advocacy efforts, members must create an identity, strengthen and practice communication skills and define decision-making processes.
The workshop was aimed to build understanding of PCE general body members about importance of communication for coalition-building.
Based on participatory learning approaches, the workshop introduced basic principles of advocacy and communication for effective change through coalitions building.
The participants also learnt about skills and conditions that increase participation in strategic decision-making within coalitions.
